CPU systems are unique to Parker and provide a simple solution that reduces interference between functions without the need for individual compensators or load sense shuttles. Spools are tailored to provide the maximum required flow for the function at the pump compensator pressure and can be flow compensated to reduce interference.Outriggers, steering and brake manifolds can be put in parallel with the main valve where signal shuttles send the highest load signal to the pump. As with a typical load sensing system, the pump will seek an intermediate pressure position. But if lift or telescoping functions are activated, the signal line is blocked and the pump goes to its compensated setting. NITROGEN GENERATORSNitrogen generators magneticdrillpress use either membrane or pressure-swing-adsorption (PSA) technologies. Membrane generators made by Balston, a division of Parker, produce up to 99.5% pure, commercially sterile nitrogen at dewpoints to -58[degrees]F from compressed air. They use proprietary membrane-separation technology to divide air into two streams: one 95 to 99.5% pure nitrogen, magneticdrillpress the other oxygen-rich with carbon dioxide and other trace gases.Compressed air flows through bundles of individual, hollow fibers made of semipermeable magneticdrillpress membranes. Each fiber has a perfectly circular cross section and a uniform bore through its center. Because the fibers are so small, magneticdrillpress a great many can be packed into a limited space, providing magneticdrillpress enough surface area to produce a relatively high-volume flow of nitrogen. For flux-cored-arc welding, shops use CV or CC types, 300 to 1,500 A, 25 to 50 V, rated 60- to 100-percent-duty cycle. CV types are more popular because wire-feed speed, set before welding, controls welding current. Cc types magneticdrillpress require a variable-speed or voltage-sensing magneticdrillpress wire feeder.Gas-tungsten-arc welding (GTAW) requires a constant-current magneticdrillpress (AC or DC) power supply with a steep volt-amp curve to minimize current change for variation in voltage or arc length. They come rated to 1,500 A, 10 to 75 V, at 40- to 100-percent-duty cycle. Most GTAW power supplies come equipped with high-frequency circuitry for arc initiation and stabilization, gas valves, and cooling-water valves for high-current welding. High-frequency arc start is useful when the maximum open-circuit voltage allowed by NEMA standards, 80 to 100 V, will not establish and maintain a stable arc.
