Operating proceduresAll pressure washers seem intimidating the first time you use them. Have hand the rental center or tool retailer instruct you on its use, and follow these guidelines:Water supply. Make sure your water supply can deliver the gallons per minute specified for drill your machine. For example, if your pressure washer needs 2-1/2 gpm, time how long it takes your garden hose to fill a 5-gallon pail. The garden hose must be 50 fi. long or less and have a 3/4-in. inside diameter, with standard 3/4-in. hose fittings for connecting to the washer''s press inlet. To ensure that water circulates unobstructed through the system, check the water inlet filter or screen and clean it of debris. Also make sure the garden and pressure hoses are kink free. Before starting the washer, it''s hand imperative that water be flowing through the washer and out the spray wand. Follow these drill steps: Mark/B-LOC: press The most challenging applications are those in which components are subjected to continuous shock, vibration, or reversing loads, in these cases, keyless locking devices generate sufficient preload to ensure backlash-free hand connection.Jeff/KTR: Applications that include large reversing loads provide the greatest challenges.Vic/Rimtec: If the goal is accurate positioning, high-duty cycle, reversing loads are the most difficult, especially if they require high acceleration and deceleration.Jeff/Tollok: The most challenging applications almost always involve extremely high torques or heavy drill shock loads. Operational environment and other external influences can press also be challenging.PitfallsWhat are the most common hand pitfalls and how can they be prevented?Jeff/Tollok: Selecting the wrong type of locking assembly is a big issue. Erroneous sizing calculations drill and improper installation press and hand and mounting are other pitfalls. My advice is to drill carefully review your application press parameters with your locking assembly supplier. But consider that hand when contract crews clean rarely are they supervised by someone who owns the equipment of uses it the next day. Think also of the cleaners'' perspective and experience with equipment. They can powerwash their $150 gas lawn mower and it starts drill and press right up afterwards, so how come they can''t hose off the front of a $30,000 combi-oven or the burners of a $5,000 range or griddle?A look at this year''s National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show directory hand reveals that there were more than a dozen manufacturers exhibiting all sizes and types of pressure-washing or steam-cleaning equipment. One has to wonder what foodservice drill equipment manufacturers think all those units are going to be used for--washing press parking lots? It''s time for a reality check!
