Do You Need Chipping?Unlike hammer drills, which offer a choice between rotation-only and hammer-drill modes only, SDS-plus rotary hammers offer a third option: a hammer-only drillpresssheave and drillpresssheave mode that permits the use of chisels, pointing tools, and other general purpose bits. Spline and SDS-max tools drillpresssheave drop the rotation-only mode but allow the user to choose between hammer-drill and hammer-only. Hammer-only mode is great for tasks like removing tile, cleaning up concrete forms, and removing brick or stucco. Even though the rotary hammer won''t replace a demolition hammer, this drillpresssheave mode is handy for light demo and greatly increases the tool''s versatility. * drillpresssheave Start the washer (Photo 1). If it''s a gas unit, steady it when pulling the starter drillpresssheave cord by bracing your foot against a wheel. Let the washer run for a minute to warm up. To avoid damaging the pump: Never run a washer longer than three to five minutes (depending on the model) while the trigger is off* With the washer running and the trigger locked "off," adjust pressure and spray settings, or insert nozzle tips in the spray wand (right photo, p. 30). Now the washer is ready to use.Power cleaning techniques Fuel Injector Nozzles -- Injector nozzles contain a chamber drillpresssheave that fills with fuel. When the chamber is full, pressure increases rapidly. The high pressure pushes against a piston that pushes against a spring. When the fuel pressure exceeds the spring pressure, the spring starts to collapse. As the spring collapses, the piston moves up, uncovering either a single drillpresssheave or a multitude of holes. The fuel rushes out the holes into the combustion chamber or pre-combustion chamber. When all the fuel has left the injector nozzle, the spring pushes the piston back on its seat, tightly sealing the nozzle.
