The new D-Series includes pilot-operated joystick controls for the backhoe on every 420D and 430D. Fuel Injector Nozzles -- Injector nozzles contain a chamber that fills with fuel. When the chamber is full, pressure increases rapidly. The high pressure pushes against a piston that pushes against a spring. When the fuel pressure exceeds the spring pressure, the spring starts to collapse. As the spring collapses, the piston moves up, uncovering either a single or a multitude of holes. When all the fuel has left the injector nozzle, the spring pushes the piston back on its seat, tightly sealing the nozzle.
